HERRMANN, Chief Justice (for the majority): The defendant appeals his convictions and sentences for Attempted Murder, Robbery, and Conspiracy, all in the First Degree, and Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony -- on the grounds that the Superior Court committed reversible error under the facts of this case (1) in trying him in the absence of either himself or an attorney representing him; (2) in rendering its verdicts by letter-opinion sent to the defendant at the Correctional Center, and (3) in sentencing him on both the deadly weapon and underlying felony convictions.
